THE USE OF FACIAL RECOGNITION TECHNOLOGIES

Abstract

The paper discusses the use of facial recognition technology in the Republic of Estonia both by state authorities and in the private sector. The possibility of using facial recognition technology in elections is pointed out, while underlining all the shortcomings that arise in connection with it. Finally, the possibility of using face recognition technology in real time with video surveillance in public space is considered.
