BIOMETRICS, VIDEO SURVEILLANCE AND FACIAL RECOGNITION TECHNOLOGIES IN REPUBLIC OF CROATIA

Abstract

The paper aims to point out some of the key issues of modern society in the context of data protection in the way of ensuring public safety. The use of video surveillance, biometrics and facial recognition technology is placed in the context of the Republic of Croatia, and the largest part of the work is devoted to these issues.
