Sažetak
Cilj rada je da se na osnovu podataka poslednja tri popisa (2002, 2011. i 2022) dâ šira slika dostignutog stepena transformacije starosne strukture u Srbiji. Istorijska uslovljenost starosne (pre)kompozicije prikazana je kroz osnovne determinante starosne strukture. Kako bi se pratio uznapredovali proces demografskog starenja, izračunati su indikatori starosne strukture na osnovu kojih je izvršeno vremensko i prostorno poređenje. Stanovništvo Srbije je, komparativnim pristupom, pozicionirano u odnosu na druge evropske države uz pomoć metodologije stadijuma demografske starosti. Detaljnija analiza na nivou opština otkrila je da se 88,7% opština nalaze u poslednjem, najdubljem stadijumu. Klasifikacija je proširena dodavanjem ekstremno duboke demografske starosti čije karakteristike ima 39,2% opština Srbije.
