Abstract
Questo articolo analizza il contributo positivo di alcuni sport nell’ambito dell’apprendimento in generale, e pone un’enfasi particolare sui benefici che lo sport è in grado di offrire in relazione alla Second Language Acquisition (SLA) – Acquisizione linguistica, avvalendosi di studi appartenenti alla sfera neuroscientifica e adottando un approccio psicologico e socio-culturale. Infatti, l’approccio sociale afferma che età, genere, stratum sociale e altri fattori legati alle differenze individuali, possono influire sul successo dell’apprendimento linguistico (Saville-Troike, 2005). A questo novero di fattori da prendere in esame, possiamo anche aggiungere lo sport di intensità media, perché ritenuto in grado di contribuire positivamente al processo di SLA.
